🐾 Meet Faye

Faye has been at Clay County Animal Services since November 23. Ten months.
She is nearly three, a medium-sized black-and-white mixed breed. That is a long time for a young dog to spend waiting.
The shelter says she is shy in her kennel and a different dog once she is out of it: calm, well-behaved, good on a leash, and happiest carrying a stuffed toy around. They have her in what they call the gentle, dainty playgroup, which might be the best three words on the whole listing.
Two things worth knowing before you go. They recommend an adult household, and Faye is listed as a special needs adoption, so ask the front desk what that involves.

🥬 Good news for the Orange Park Market
The Orange Park Farmers' & Arts Market isn't going anywhere.
During this year's budget talks, cutting the market from twice a month to once was on the table. It came through fully funded and still twice a month.
That's good news for the nearly 70 vendors who set up there, and for everybody who likes spending a Sunday morning wandering Town Hall Park with something to eat in their hand.
The next one is this Sunday, 10 AM to 3 PM at Town Hall Park. It takes SNAP and EBT, and the market runs the first and third Sunday from September through June.
Turns out a park full of people is a pretty good argument for keeping a market.
Before you go... tell me something good 💛

Send it our way. This only gets better when all of us help find the good stuff.
❤️ Tell Us Something Good: A neighbor doing something kind. A kid doing something awesome. Something new going in or on around town. Anything that makes you think, "people around here should know about this."
📅 Submit an Event: Live music at a local restaurant, a fundraiser, a festival, a market, a school activity. Anything locals can put on their calendar.
⭐ Get Featured: Own a local business? Tell us your story through a short interview and give the community a chance to meet the people behind it.
