🎶 The Soul Food Festival turns 25 on Saturday

Green Cove Springs' Soul Food and Music Festival turns 25 this year.

It starts with a parade at noon along Palmetto Avenue and west on Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard, then runs until 7 at Vera Francis Hall Park, with local food, dance, contests, kids' activities, and entertainment. News4Jax reports live music from The Levert Experience and The 69 Boyz, plus health screenings.

The city co-sponsors it, and the council voted 5-0 this month to waive its fees.

Saturday, October 3, noon to 7 PM, Vera Francis Hall Park.

A party that has lasted 25 years is doing something right.
