🎃 Your Halloween week planner

Start with the one run by kids. The Kids Helping Kids Club at Lake Asbury Junior High is holding its third annual Trunk or Treat Toy Drive on Friday, 5:30 to 7:30 PM, at the school, 2851 Sandridge Road. There'll be decorated trunks with candy, a DJ, fire trucks, face painting, games and food for sale.

Bring a new toy for the drive. Last year they collected more than 300, and they'd like to beat it. They're also still looking for more trunks, so if you've got a car you'd love to decorate, this is your sign. Sign up a trunk →

The Jaguars, Gators, Seminoles and Bulldogs all had the week off. No. 1 Miami beat Pitt 52-23.

🐾 Meet Juliet

Juliet has been at Clay County Animal Services since July 26, 2025. That's 15 months of waiting.

Her listing gives her a job title: "Professional Office Assistant & Tennis Ball Specialist." She loves toys, she's great on a leash, and she'll happily work for playtime.

The shelter says she'd love a home where someone is around a lot, because she's "basically the perfect office dog." She'd do best with older kids, since she gets very excited about her toys, and she'd like to be your only dog while she works on her doggy social skills.

Bonus: her adoption comes with a month of sponsored training from Homemade Hounds.

🗣️ Ask the Town

Halloween night, which one are you: handing out candy, taking the kids trick-or-treating, turning off the porch light for a movie, or watching the Noles take on Clemson at 7?

Reply CANDY, COSTUMES, COUCH, or FOOTBALL. Doing two at once counts too. I'll share the tally Friday.
