💛 Spotlight: two good causes this week

Thursday night at Whitey's Fish Camp comes with a chance to support local girls. The Pace Center for Girls Clay fundraiser runs from 5:30 to 8 PM, with High N Tight playing on the tiki porch from 6 to 8.

Since 2015, Pace Clay has helped middle and high school girls keep moving toward graduation, with small classes, credit recovery, counseling, and support for what comes next. Programs are free to families, and enrollment stays open year-round.

VetFest at Corks & Barrels

VetFest is back for its fourth year, Saturday from noon to 6 PM at Corks & Barrels, 1824 Town Center Blvd. It's veteran-led, and this year it benefits Clay Veterans Inc., a local nonprofit that supports veterans and veteran organizations. Organizers say last year's event raised more than $25,000.

A $50 general admission ticket gets you lunch, live music, and spirits and wine tastings from more than 30 vendors, plus a live auction and raffle. VIP is $100 and adds access inside Corks & Barrels with exclusive tastings. Tickets are limited.
